What is the Regional Arts Fund Expert Register?

RANT Arts seeks expressions of interest from Tasmanian artists, arts workers and sector professionals to participate as assessors for Tasmania’s Regional Arts Fund grant applications.
People working or engaged within the arts and community sectors are encouraged to put forward an expression of interest. We are seeking a broad range of candidates in terms of artform area, age, location, cultural background and career stage from artists, practitioners, administrators and other sector professionals.


What is the Regional Arts Fund?

The Regional Arts Fund (RAF) is an Australian Government program that supports sustainable cultural development in regional and remote communities in Australia. The program is managed by Regional Arts Australia and, in Tasmania, by RANT Arts. There are two Community Grant rounds per year and Quick Response Grants (QRG) open 6 times per year.


How do I apply?

Fill out this expression of interest form. You will be notified by email if you have been invited to sit on a panel.


What would I need to do?
Experts included on the register may be invited to join a panel to assess applications in support of RANT Arts’ RAF funding programs. The successful applicants invited to participate in assessment may be asked to:
* attend meetings at in person 
* participate in phone or video conferences
* access and use the online assessment system
* review electronic documents.
There is no obligation to take part in assessments if invited. RANT Arts will cover travel costs to participate in assessment meetings (where reasonable and appropriate).

You will be paid a fee of $250.

What about access requirements?

We will work with assessors to meet any additional access requirements before each assessment. This might include wheelchair access, audio and visual assistance or arrangements for caring responsibilities.
